Completing My Previous Saint-Just Post...

I didn't link correctly the page on Saint-Just's portraits, it's actually a full dossier on an iconographical study of Saint-Just. It gets slightly unnerving when the author of the site starts speaking of Deviant Art and Fan Art. Fandom meets History. ^^; Apart from it, there's a nice section on souvenirs from the Bicentenaire, with these two medals I had never seen before:





Awesome, aren't they? What's interesting with the second one is that they made a series of those medals with French Revolution "couples" *coughs*: Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI, Marat and Hébert, Danton and Desmoulins and Robespierre and Saint-Just. *re-coughs*

Also, I'm bringing your attention on The Saint-Just Action Figures Figurines and The Saint-Just Stamps. This one is very lovely:



Also, [info]citoyennemiyuki, you made it on her website. Uh-huh.

Hm. I hope she'll never make a study of fanfiction.......

Finally, check her page on the engravings -- there are some rare finds in there! Particularly, this one from the Centenaire in 1889, which is really nice and this one in my icon that I FINALLY see in colour!!!


A second point to this post, I found the Communist Militants of Arras (that's so cute, btw), announcing the play "Thermidor" in two days. And there is a very lovely re-interpretation of a Thermidor painting:



Looks like Robespierre is even more crumbling. Nice to see someone else saw that the person holding him back ought to be Saint-Just.

...lol, I'm convinced they reused the same face for Saint-Just, Desmoulins and Louis on those medals. XD;

And I seriously want a Saint-Just action figure. :(

...I second the comment about fanfiction though... uh... (I wonder if this community will come to the attention of these people??)

I'm jealous! I want a saint-just action figure. Would they make a Maxime action figure too? That would be splendid. XD and why not stop there? XD I could somehow get bad ideas about this...

what i could do with a saint-just action figure...that would be totally awesome. The poster for the thermidor play is really nice. I don't know why i like it so much but i do. I'm so jealous.

Suddenly I didn't see this post....but I was surprised when I recognise my name in this postXD I don't know you thought of me at fanfictions....but I feel I have to make this situation clear, because some people think wrong about me...but I don't know why....
I don't plan to write any fanfiction, because I can't write, mostly in english. So, do not afrad of my writings. I don't wanna bother anybody with my stories. I don't deny I have stories....but I'm drawer, not author....
I have own opinion about revolution...if I want I will make story about revolutionaries....I have right of this... (I think), but I will not put any things about this to here.....
and I'm not angry, just I made myself clear....

(btw, I don't know why she choose my drawings, I haven't known her before.....I didn't ask her to put my arts)

Um... No... That's not what I meant, actually; I meant, MY fanfiction, because *I* write fanfiction. So I thought: 'Oh, if she can find fanart... she could find MY fanfiction'. That's what I meant. Sorry, that wasn't quite clear.

It's a great site, but hasn't she (he?) included Ian Hamilton Finlay anywhere on her/his site? His art-garden 'Little Sparta' is surely the most amazing, obsessive and downright massive sculptural homage to Saint-Just on the planet? (something the BBC neglected to mention in a short feature on it a few months ago - when I posted that on revolution.fr I got an email from the BBC to say they weren't biased against revolutionaries! But they are. )
